The essentials? They came from Peru, they had a Beatles fixation and their own work was surprisingly good. In fact, lead singer Carlos Guerrero was referred to as the Peruvian John Lennon, which makes one wonder if they also had one in, say, Outer Mongolia. The covers are intriguing: Wings’ Tomorrow and Some People Never Know are hardly obvious choices. This band were not Beatles copyists, either; they had their own talent for creating arrangements and song structures.
