Created for Pierre Clementi’s psychedelic, Warhol-like musical art film Visa De Censure No X, this ostensibly prog album is a sprawling hotch-potch of ideas that features the majority of the French prog band Clearlight, plus Gong’s Tim Blake. Free-form jazz mixes with Eastern rhythms and instrumentation and early electronica, and is infused throughout with an elemental chaos. Standouts include the ambient Raganesh and the wholly ethereal and aptly-titled Weird Science, a sweeping piece that’s almost dream-like in its illogicality. Ideal for adventurous prog-heads.
