Originally issued as a value-for-money double-album for the price of a single in 1970 on Columbia, (Untitled)’s line-up boasts original member Roger McGuinn alongside Gene Parsons, Skip Battin and Clarence White. Devoted to two live New York gigs, the first disc captures The Byrds in full flight at Queens College’s Colden Center and a 1 March 1970 gig at the Felt Forum. Though the vocals lack guile, as a live band The Byrds never sounded better, or more confident. Disc Two, meanwhile, covers stripped-down country-rock from the studio, boasting rare cut Lover Of The Bayou, with (Unissued) collecting often-fascinating contemporary rarities, demos, live and alternative cuts that were last seen on a 2000 CD reissue on Columbia/Legacy.
