Twiggy was one of the indisputable icons of the 60s, an English supermodel who modelled for Mary Quant. However, in 1971, she proved to the world that she was more than just a clotheshorse, starring in Ken Russell’s hit film interpretation of The Boyfriend. This newly reissued album, which was first released in 1972, contains four ballads that she sang in the film. When I Think Of You is an excellent track, very French Y-Y-girl-like, I Need Your Hand In Mine unfortunately suffers from poor stereo balance, while Beautiful Dreams positions Twiggy as an English rose, as does Over & Over. But there are quality problems with the sound on this one, causing it to be a little muffled at times. The rest of the record is made up of instrumental ragtime tunes.
