I wasn’t sure whether Wayne Hussey could capture the same passion with his latest incarnation of The Mission, but when the new line-up began with the strangelytitled HDSHRINKEREA, from new set God Is A Bullet, things were looking up. Hands Across The Ocean got the crowd going and was followed by another old favourite, Like A Child Again. A number of new tracks, notably Keep It In The Family, mixed with older ones to good effect, as on Butterfly On A Wheel and Wasteland. Wayne’s vocals were as good as ever and still accompanied by red wine consumption. A series of encores included Beyond The Pale, Deliverance and an extended Tower Of Strength. Despite some technical problems with Wayne’s guitar, it was Mission accomplished!
