Terry Reid laid himself wide open, walking the high-wire from the opening Without Expression. He gave us beauty (Faith To Arise), anger (Raging Storm), samba (River), and Don’t Worry Baby – laid-back Ipanema. Brave Awakening, a poignant remembrance of coal mining, was followed by the new There Was A Town. Too Many People was positively Mathew Street, while Rich Kid Blues was followed by The Frame, a trademark, existential stream-of-consciousness. The other newie, Northern Lights, was cosmic, while Seed Of Memory wended its mystical way.
