Skid Row’s two original members, Scotti Hill and Rachel Bolan, are outshone by cowboy-hatted ‘new’ (of eight years) singer Johnny Solinger, the star of the show. He has the moves, poses and banter to keep us completely captivated, and Skid Row know what we want. Sure, there’s a new album, but when they kick off with three tracks from their debut – Makin’ A Mess, Piece Of Me and Sweet Little Sister – it’s clear they’re here to celebrate the good old days. Four more get an airing, alongside a handful from Slave To The Grind. Highlights from their high octane show include the acoustic, crowd-sung I Remember You and Monkey Business, plus 18 & Life and Youth Gone Wild.
