Back in 1986, UFO bassist Pete Way was taking time off from the day job with singer Danny Vaughn, and this 10-song effort was a creditable one. Here it’s bolsteredby two bonus cuts, one apparently recorded in a biscuit tin, the other a decent cover of John Fogerty’s Fortunate Son. But the main satisfies with the likes of Walls Fall Down, riffed by UFO man Paul Chapman, and several knocks that could be period Journey (Black & Blue, Singing To The Night, etc). Other AOR numbers such as Heaven Tonight rock along, while Out Of Control is as hair metal as you could want/fear. A bonus CD, recorded live in 1987, has eight tracks and a 15-minute Pete Way interview from 2006. The duff audio quality means that the likes of Won’t Get Out Alive sound thin and there’s a horrid guitar solo, but the new material is at least energetically delivered.
