Not having played the UK for 22 years, Kevin Cronin and co were determined to make up for lost time with a blistering show from start to finish. During their 100 minutes, the soft-rockers proved that they can kick AOR ass with the best, the quintet’s interplay solid as concrete and their permasmiling singer impressing big time. From early volleys like Take It On The Run and the singalong Keep Pushin’ On, the audience, mostly pushing 50, were on their feet, acclaiming the soaring wings of the REO bandwagon. New cuts such as I Need To Fall slipped in perfectly, the thumping Dangerous Combination and arms-asway I Can’t Fight This Feeling followed by the energetic Smilin’ In The End and electro-acoustic Time For Me To Fly.
