A classic English performer, Davies came on alone and started to play I’m Not Like Everybody Else, during which he was gradually joined by the other members of his (very loud) band. It was his last night, so we might forgive him throwing away a couple of singalong hits, especially as the newer stuff and lesser-known classics such as Celluloid Heroes and 20th Century Man were played so well. It was all topped off with a metallic version of Lola, evidence that even after 40 years, a sunset can still be a thing of great beauty during something called You Really Got Me.
