Pause For A Hoarse Horse/Home

Led by singer Mike Stubbs and guitarist Laurie Wisefield, years before they took on a prog garb, Home set out a country-rock stall in the manner of Poco. Pause…’s 11 tunes sees Family tripping along carefree, Red E Lewis & The Red Caps adopting Latino sensibilities, and In My Time freaking out with the best of them. The blues guitar and piano of How Would It Feel nods to Cream, while Mose recalls reflective Barclay James Harvest (with Mellotron tones surfacing on Bad Day).

The eight-song eponymous follow-up kicks off with the chorale Dreamer (boasting a hideous guitar coda), Rise Up is as breezy as you like and the closing My Lady Of The Birds is as rocking as things get.
