Yet another band rediscovered by Overground during the sift through material for their Anarcho Punk compilations. Again proving that there was no such thing as a typical anarcho band, Naked are also a great example of why all retrospective albums should be ordered chronologically. The way this group progresses and evolves is a joy to hear.
The 1979 demos are basic school-leaver punk that sounds like Eater. Mid-1930s (Pre-War Germany), their contribution to 1982’s Bullshit Detector Volume 2 on Crass, was identified as that compilation’s stand out track by Sounds for being articulate and restrained in pace. The songs released in 1983 on the Bluurg label were strong, unpretentious post-punk that included rerecordings of earlier songs Alienn and Frightened.
