Vangelis & Irene Papas - Odoes

Previously only available in Greece, this album by the mighty Vangelis and Irene Papas has been given a remastering Hoover, and is now available for the first time in the UK (though we’re not sure if this is a particularly special event). There’s no denying the quality of music; Vangelis is the master of clean, stripped down and emotive electronics. And there is no doubting the power, fire and earthy delights of Papas’ voice either; and together they are truly harmonious, if not omnipotent. Odes is a recording of Greek traditionals, pared down and modernised for the late 70s.
