Metamatics - My Favourite Kind Of Irrelevance: A Metamatics & Norken Retrospective

One man’s electronic vision and extensive catalogue condensed

Taking one of his names from former Ultravox! warbler John Foxx’s debut album, Lee Norris has spent the last 10 years earnestly caressing the same electronic udders which squirted forth the cerebral Detroit homagings of such outfits as Black Dog and B12. Apart from being cred-stokingly namedropped by Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood, Norris has eschewed self-promotion while releasing a string of albums and singles as Metamatics and Norken.

The more accessible highlights are gathered here in specially edited versions, kicking of with the current single, a spikey reworking of Depche Mode’s Personal Jesus.
