Mostly Autumn delighted with a set mixing cross-catalogue material. The new highlight was Flowers For Guns, with superb harmonies from Heather Findlay, new recruit Anne-Marie Helder, and Olivia Sparnnen. It sat comfortably alongside favourites Evergreen and Simple Ways, with the powerful guitar of Bryan Josh. Above The Blue, initially accompanied by Helder’s piano, reduced the audience to awed silence, and equally enthralling was a mesmerising duet between Josh and keyboardist Iain Jennings on The Spirit Of Autumn Past. Over two hours of high quality rock ended with Heroes Never Die.
