Having been a teen in 90s New Zealand and listened to Korn like there was no tomorrow, it was exciting to finally see them live; Jonathan playing bagpipes, Ray’s amazing drumstick flicks, Fieldy’s glow-in-the-dark strings, up close and personal. But while they played a mix of new album tracks and old classics, the emphasis was too much on the former.

Granted, they opened with four old favourites from their first two albums, followed by 6, from Path Of Totality, but then the emphasis shifted to their new, electronic stylings and, with only half the crowd singing along to recent tracks, it wasn’t until the band closed with a furious barrage of seven classics that things really kicked off. Still, with giant screens flashing up stunning graphics and vintage video clips, it was a high-energy, moshing climax that saw the bulk of the masses have a great time.
