Having tested the post-rehab atmosphere with medium-sized shows last October, Keane again took to the glare of a packed arena. Rising to the occasion, Tom Chaplin and co started with a storming The Iron Sea, opening one hour and 40 minutes of rapturously received songs. There was enthusiastic audience participation during Nothing In My Way and, mid-set, Chaplin took to the guitar as the threesome had a short acoustic breather on the delicate Your Eyes Open. There was even a brief poetry recital before spirit-lifting versions of A Bad Dream and Somewhere Only We Know. The electric atmosphere was heightened during a three-song encore featuring favourites Atlantic, Crystal Ball and Bedshaped.
