The sixth night of Bonamassa’s sold-out UK tour was kicked off in superb style with Bridge To Better Days. A capacity crowd were in for a treat as Joe worked his distinctive rock-blues way through a set that included Walk In My Shadows, So Many Roads, Mountain Time, Another Kind Of Love and the title track from his latest offering, Sloe Gin. Barely stopping to take a breath and with guitar changes aplenty, Bonamassa ran the full emotional gauntlet – designed, I’m sure, not to leave anyone disappointed. And it worked. Just Got Paid ended the main set with the band returning for the first of two encores with One Of These Days and Asking Around For You. Not satisfied with that, Joe returned to cap off a full 15-song, 90-minute set with High Water Everywhere and You Upset Me. A truly inspirational performance.
