Playing for Absolute Radio, the quartet led by singer/guitarist Richard Archer bounded on for a 10-song, 45-minute best-of set that had the small crowd of competition winners and haircuts swaying and singing throughout. Kicking off the party with Tied Up Too Tight, their plunging guitar melodies and high-energy beat instantly had the room on the hoof, and momentum was retained with the PWEI-like bossa tones of Like A Drug. The hypnotic indie-rock of Cash Machine preceded Stay Alive, all angular percussion, with flickering guitar-swipe icing, while the dancey Fire In The House fanned the flames further. Hard To Be had the masses moving as one, and the quirky Television was followed by rousing closer, Living For The Weekend, which elicited a final, sweet communal singalong.
