With a quintet featuring Mark Stanway (Magnum) and Lawrence Archer (Stampede), the former Thin Lizzy frontman knocked out 11 solo and cover numbers, with a final Lizzy cut, Sarah. The songs are decent enough, kicking off with perky Top Of The Pops theme, Yellow Pearl. The audio quality is weak, however, and so are the synths and syndrums on the likes of Nineteen. The balladry of Sisters Of Mercy and classic Parisienne Walkways are flanked by a singalong Breakdown and retreads of A Whiter Shade Of Pale. A rocked-up version of the Miners’ anthem, Here We Go, is superfluous 24 years later!
