Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Indiscreet, this was a glorious night of unashamed nostalgia, with Deborah Bonham opening with a strong five-song set of new numbers from the forthcoming Spirit, a la Bad Company, with her powerful, emotive voice. Romeo’s Daughter supported FM in 1989 and singer Leigh Matty still has the looks, while the band played old and new cuts, Wild Side really rocking.

FM wasted no time when they arrived, the crowd rising as Steve Overland played the opening chords to That Girl. What followed was 40 minutes of glorious, golden memories of pre-grunge rock, with Love Lies Dying aired on stage for the first time, followed by the fist-punching, bouncy American Girls and Face To Face, while Frozen Heart remains a prime fluffy ballad. The band took their bows before returning for Dangerous and five tracks from Tough It Out, Bad Luck raising the hall’s voices before Hot Legs ended a highly enjoyable evening.
