Four of the finest, most collectible progressive early-70s bands in Norway reunited in heavy rain for a mini-festival that started with the explosive Höst, with the line-up from their 1974 debut, playing guitar-driven heavy prog with Norwegian lyrics – somewhere between Wishbone Ash and early Judas Priest. Aunt Mary (a Vertigo act) were a fine prog band by their third and last album, in 1973. They played a good show, with their four-piece line-up from 1971, including Jan Groth on vocals. Junipher Greene harked back to their debut, Friendship, and sounded amazingly fresh, while Ruphus gave a surprisingly good show with songs mainly from 1973’s A New Born Day and the Yes-like follow-up, Ranshart. The grand finale was given to Höst, returning with their second album line-up – a lot more progressive, with Hammond, synthesizers and flute, and playing together for the first time since 1978. A real surprise.
