Robert Fripp’s career has been one of fascinating singlemindedness, ranging from his stern management of King Crimson to an ability to bear fruit in collaborative situations. Amazingly, the term ‘Frippertronics’ has yet to enter the English dictionary, although Fripp has been experimenting and composing with his guitar fed through a wide range of toys and gadgets since his early work with Brian Eno.
