The original line-up of Rod Argent, Russ Ballard, Jim Rodford and Bob Henrit played an impressive set for 90 minutes, including the anthems, Hold Your Head Up and God Gave Rock And Roll To You, and even included some unheard material. Argent were impressively tight and their enjoyment at being back on stage after so many years was infectious. The musicality of Rod Argent on keyboards was stunning, as he demonstrated a depth and range of styles, as on Keep On Rolling and The Coming Of Kohoutek. Ballard showed just what a multi-talented genius he is too, with superb guitar work, piano and a standout performance of Colin Blunstone’s Don’t Believe In Miracles. She’s Not There, Since You’ve Been Gone and Liar also appeared, and Keep On Rolling was a common sentiment.
