Keith Mansfield - All You Need Is

The RPM treatment moves now to the work of another cult British pop/library composer and arranger, the legend that is Keith Mansfield. This comp brings together his 1968 All You Need Is album for CBS, along with eight further hip numbers from collaborations up to 1972. Everlasting Love is an uplifting soul classic, Soul Thing funks like only Keith can and the two featured arrangements for Salena Jones are truly fab. Throughout you’ll find regular pounding brass, groovy big beats and soaring strings that you’ll either love or have enough of quite fast. It’s really great to have this all out together, it’s just a shame it wasn’t released a decade ago when this easy, occasionally cheesy sound was super hot.
