TRAIN KEEPS A ROLLIN’
Re the many letters about Seatrain: I am surprised that no one has commented on their appearance on Top Of The Pops in about 1971, when there was a short lived ‘Album Feature’. Seatrain were promoting the Marblehead Messenger album. The Moody Blues were on around the same period promoting A Question of Balance, with Graeme Edge playing a then novel electronic drum kit.
With regard to the debate about vinyl, CD, downloading etc, it might be worth considering what is to come after downloading. Much of this information can so easily be lost as technology moves on. Paper has survived for many hundreds of years, but in the age of email, much modern data has been lost. The same could happen to musical data. PS: Like the reader who would like ‘more Who please’. I would enjoy more Jethro Tull. It will be their 40th anniversary next year and they deserve much more recognition than they get from the press.
