THE FULL LAMONTY

Two comments about Kingsley Abbott’s review of Lamont Dozier’s Black Bach album: 1) Kingley’s “most satisfying track” Let Me Shine Tonite, is actually called Let Me START Tonite. 2) I would have to disagree with Kingley’s opinion that it is Lamont’s “best solo work”. I would put it in second place, but the undoubted top spot must go to Peddlin’ Music On The Side which contains the classic Going Back To My Roots,Sight For Sore Eyes and the title track itself.

Actually, thinking about it has made me realise that all Lamont’s solo albums are brilliant. Time for a feature on the gentleman rather than wait for a paragraph in your Not Forgotten list!
