SOUL SUCCESS

I recently had a good find at a local charity shop: for just 30p I purchased a soul 45 by a guy named Moon Williams, called Forever Kind Of Love/All For You (UK DJM DJS 283). Just a few weeks later I noticed a copy on eBay sell for a whopping £50 (item 160121613738). A pretty good find, I think you will agree.

Our Rare Record Price Guide values this at £300 and MoonWilliams’ website claims that copies have changed hands on eBay for £450, so yes, that’s a good find. The record is highly rated by Northern Soul fans for the flip, All For You. Williams was a session and backing singer who was a regular warm-up act at the Marquee Club in the 60s and recorded extensively in the 70s, and he’s still going strong today. Sadly, he says he doesn’t own a copy of this record!
