Re finding records via radio station closures [RC 400]: years ago two old soul pals, Rod Shard and Dave Withers, went to a Manchester radio station – not sure which – and all demos were 50p each. Not only was everything soul-wise there, but I think they left the pop behind! I can remember names like Chapter 5, Lynne Randell, Shane Martin… Another source that was sought-out was the armed forces radio stations in Cyprus, and I think Mick Smith and John Anderson went to Singapore’s British Forces Radio stations. Happy days!
