RUNAWAYS

So the Spice Girls are getting back together (News, RC 340). Big deal. The only “girl power” reunion I’d like to see would be The Runaways. They were real girl power, not bunch of lightweight manipulated wannabes. RIP drummer Sandy West, who died of cancer last October. PS: I still have their first two LPs, are they worth anything?

Has to be said that The Runaways were also manipulated , by manager Kim Fowley among others, but we take your point. They were great. The LPs are worth about £15. – Ed
