LENNON’S LEGACY
I am compelled to thank you for the fine two-part special, Lennon’s Last Session, from March and April. As a teenager at the time of John’s murder, I, like so many, was greatly affected and although I had just begun to relish the Double Fantasy album, it seemed that within days tragedy struck and I couldn’t listen to it without an immense sadness.
After reading with fascination the wonderful anecdotes Record Collector managed to uncover, I’ve now rediscovered the joy and celebration of this great LP which has stood up so well after all these years. Yes John, ‘time flies so quickly’.
