KING GEORGE

A thorough article, as usual, about George Clinton (RC 383), but I would add a few facts about the early recordings. There are two compilation albums of that era: Vital Juices 1958 To 1974, with tracks (co)written and (co) produced by George Clinton. The label is Statite. Secondly, George Clinton With Parliament & Funkadelic The Singles 1967-1971 on F-Punk records F-PR34 (Swedish). There are two more recent albums on Westbound Records: Funkadelic Toys (SEWD133) released in 2008 and US Music With Funkadelic (SEWD149) released in 2009. Both albums contain studio sessions of the period between Maggot Brain and America Eats Its Young. Furthermore there is a Funkadelic album called Connections & Disconnections released in 1981 on LA records (JW37087) on which George Clinton does not appear. There was a compilation in 2009 called Standing On The Verge, The Best Of Funkadelic on Westbound (SEW2 151) which has single edits of several classics on this double album.
