I’m responding to your Not Forgotten (RC 401) about the death of Doobie Brother Michael Hossack. I’m under the impression the band are an unknown entity to the British media. The photo RC used was of lead singer Tom Johnston, not Hossack. This isn’t the first time a Doobie Brother has been misidentified. In a February 2004 edition of Never Mind The Buzzcocks the panel had to decide if Jeff “Skunk” Baxter went to work in missile defence after leaving the Doobies. Buzzcocks then showed footage and photos of what was supposedly Baxter, but it was guitarist Pat Simmons. Still, RC is the best music collectors’ magazine on the planet. I have every issue going back to 1989. In the words of the Doobies… listen to the music.
Thanks to all the readers who pointed this out, and our sincere apologies to the Michael’s family and fans.
