AW, SHUCKS…
After 14 years of reading RC I feel justified writing to tell you how far this wonderful specialist magazine has come along over the last year. I used to keep my copies to myself but now find my two sons reading the magazine as it is now apparently ‘cool’ enough for them. When I asked them why they had suddenly taken an interest, their reasons were that it no longer looked or came across as ‘naff’. I appreciate RC is a traditional magazine, but it always needed a new touch and I take my hat off for the focus on the design and feel and taking them to new levels. The last issue was a cracker, especially the Nick Lowe feature. In the previous, the McCartney interview was a scoop and a half and the New York Dolls piece again I loved. RC now looks and feels like a contemporary magazine that’s good for us oldies and youngsters alike. It’s got energy and buzz and long may it continue. The album reviews are always reliable and my first point of call.
