ARISE PETULA CLARK, DAME OF DOWNTOWN

There is an online petition on the Downing Street website asking to make Petula Clark a Dame. Petula is now 74 and still touring and recording. She is heading for 70 years in the business. The link is: http:// petitions.pm.gov.uk/Damehood/. You click on, fill the form and sign. Then you get a reply and have to open and click on it to verify. Members of 10CC, Searchers, Shadows have signed as have Tim Rice, Bill Kenwright, Don Black, Guy Fletcher, Susan Hampshire, Wendy Richard, Tony Hatch, Mitch Murray, Nicky Chinn, Leo Sayer and Sir Michael Caine.
